Happy Birthday Wishes

Yesterday would have been Dan's 60th Birthday! We opened up our home to the family to come and remember Dan and to celebrate his birthday

After consulting with Tom on what Dan's favorite dessert (Banana Cake) I went to work making a cake yesterday before everyone arrived. We enjoyed a nice lunch of sandwiches and salads and then cake for dessert to cap off the day. Marcia brought along a tape of the memorial service which allowed us a glimpse of how Dan touched many lives. It was so good to hear those stories - what a testimony of strength, grace, mercy and God's love in his life. We miss you Dan!

Christmas is right around the corner! I'm not ready yet and may not be until Saturday...UGH. Oh well - wishing you all a Merry Christmas!

Christmas Tree Hunting

I'm finally getting on the ball...here is a photo from our Christmas Tree "hunt". We have been going to Tree Wiseman's in Ridgefield, 3rd year this year. It's really hard to find a bad tree there. This year Doug, Mary & Evan joined us.

Slow Start to Christmas Season

It's been a slow start for me this year...We got a good start though. On Saturday morning we went tree hunting with Doug, Mary and Evan, then in the afternoon I went shopping with Robin in downtown PDX. We walked all over the place and even took MAX to a stop waaay past where we should have gotten off...OOPS! Good times though! I got a good start on my shopping list. Unfortunately, I came down with a cold the day after...must have been all the excitement of the season! Tonight Tom and I will attempt to bring some Christmas Flair into the house!
