Becoming Whole Again

It has been a while since I last posted anything about Tom and where he is in his recovery.

What I wanted to do is post some pictures, but I don't have access to any right now...I'm posting this while I'm at work (shhhh). So I guess those will have to wait for another day.

Short story is that it's been 12 weeks since his accident. He went from using his walker to using crutches in just over a month. At his 2nd follow-up with his surgeon he was released to regular activity as tolerated, albeit slowly.

That was just over a week ago.

Since then, Tom has gone from doing nothing to doing a lot and now just over a week after being liberated he has managed to do tons of work around the house (inside and out), has gone to the gym, joined me at the track to walk and even run a little bit and this morning we took a VERY early morning ride to Starbucks. He put an additional light on the back of his bike and boy he REALLY does make a statement especially with his BRIGHT yellow jacket! He was a little nervous and wanted to make sure that he was visible!

He start physical therapy bright and early tomorrow morning - he'll be good as new before we know it!
