Hello Friends!

I've decided to give my blog another go around...I guess I just needed a little bit of a break.

There have been a few things happening in the last couple of months. However, if we are friends on facebook or you are on my Shutterfly Sharing site then I really don't need to rehash those things here now.

It's almost the end of February, isn't that crazy?! I've decided that tomorrow will be a goof off day! I'm going to spend the day with Mr. Tom - we have a Cinetopia Groupon to use before Thursday. My supervisor was out last week and will be out again next week so I need to get a break from work whenever I can. The weekends just don't cut it anymore. Tomorrow is also a run day for me, but you can read all about my running exploits HERE.

What's coming up? Not too much really. Just looking forward to getting into the garden. Actually, I probably should be out there now. I look at the yard when I'm in the kitchen and think that I should really go and do something in the garden boxes or maybe even turn the compost. All good ideas right? Probably won't do much until I take my vacation during the first week of April (which happens to be Washington's Spring Break) so I'm sure that I'll come up with all sort of projects to do, which will no doubt include working in the garden.

I'm hoping that start of April will be decent and I'll be able to get out on my bike a little, to get ready for bike commuting to work. Last year was a meager bike commuting year with Tom being hit by a car and all. I'm happy to report that he is pretty much back to his usual self. I get tired of people asking how things are going with his recuperation...good grief people, just take a look at him, it's been 10 months! Not exactly better than before, but at least he's back to running, cycling and general silly making :)

Pretty Quiet Here

I haven't done anything terribly interesting to warrant posting here...

It's March and we haven't really done anything since like the middle of January except go to the Cycle Oregon Kick-Off party.That was pretty fun and if we aren't too late, we might be going to Corvallis and doing the weekend ride - with the ride being headquartered at OSU - Go Beavs! (I'm not a Duck fan). If we are too late in registering for this event there is a Multisport event weekend in Ocean Shores that I would LOVE to do.

This month I will have a week of vacation to go through our home to do a thorough cleaning to get rid of stuff for the Uganda Mission Team Garage Sale. We have been realizing that at some point we would like to move out of the house we are currently living in...and to do that it would be good to start getting rid of nearly 14 years of STUFF. Living on property that has out buildings is good and bad. Good because there is a lot of storage and bad because there is a lot of storage!We have been slowly going through stuff in the house including the basement. What really helps me is watching an episode of Hoarders...my gosh! If that doesn't scare a person into cleaning I don't know what will!

Ho Hum...

I haven't posted on here for a while...mostly because there isn't much of interest that I feel compelled to write about. Not yet anyway, the holidays ARE just around the corner.

What have we done this year...

I was looking at my pictures that we have taken through the year...lots of cycling and some Napa photos. Maybe we should diversify a little or my Christmas letter will be very boring!

Oh well, here is a favorite Napa winery called Clos du Val. It was nesting time for the swallows and when we rode our bikes up to take a look around there were a zillion of birds flying around! It was pretty cool and Tom got the story from the Wine Consultant about it being nesting time. This was the only vineyard that we visited that had that many swallows flying around! Also, Clos du Val has a VERY good sangiovese that I might have to pick up again while we are there in September.
